I know money can be a difficult topic to talk about. Too many people hesitate in asking for help getting their finances in order because they're afraid of being judged for where they are now or what they've done in the past. I've made money mistakes too. There's no judgment here.
My ultimate goal is getting you into the slipstream to living a more successful and enjoyable life and to feel confident about making important decisions down the road.
Benefits of Working With DRS
DRS is a fee-only firm, and I have a fiduciary obligation to my clients.
No commissions or other financial incentives to stand in the way of your best interests, and DRS is structured as a Registered Investment Advisor which has a legal obligation to hold client interests above all others. You’re investing time, money, and energy into working with me, and I want to make sure you’re getting the most out of our relationship.
I'm human too, and my money experiences have helped me become the advisor I am today.
No one is perfect, and I don’t expect you to be either. I strive to create an open, non-judgmental space where you can share your concerns and worries without feeling embarrassed or less than you’re worth. Helping you make strong financial decisions and managing your money are huge responsibilities, and I value having the opportunity to take some of the weight off your shoulders.
Empowering you to take control.
Through collaborative guidance and education, you’ll gain the confidence you need to make many of these decisions on your own. Throughout our partnership, I want to provide you with knowledge and tools you need to be independent. I'll be here to guide you every step of the way, and if you ultimately want to keep delegating your financial decisions, you'll know it's because that's what you want, and not because you can't do it yourself.

FOUNDER
Hi! I'm Stanley, your financial co-driver. I founded DRS Financial Partners to help equity-compensated tech professionals steer through the complexities of their equity compensation and ever-changing lives. I want to make sure you feel like you're getting objective recommendations, which is why DRS is a fee-only, fiduciary firm, and I don't make managing your investment portfolio a condition of working together.
I began my financial planning career at a boutique wealth management firm in San Francisco and quickly discovered how rewarding it is to help people gain clarity around their finances and make decisions with confidence. During my seven years there, I helped tech executives and early employees work through many complex situations, which helped me appreciate just how important it is to build a solid financial foundation early.
I earned my CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation in 2017, CFA® charter in 2019, and Enrolled Agent credential in 2023. I have extensive experience helping people through all stages of their careers and lives, from the first job through retirement, and everything in between.
I grew up in Hawaii and fell in love with the Bay Area during a high school summer program. I graduated Cum Laude from Santa Clara University with a B.S. in Economics (Mathematical Economics concentration) and a Math minor, and I've lived in the Bay Area ever since. I try to get out to the Bay Area's amazing trails (especially in Pacifica and Kings Mountain) when I can, but when I'm home I'll unwind with some video games, keep up with an F1 race weekend, or be playing "please get off my computer" with Sesami (the real boss of DRS).
